Avv. Lucio Ravera

In 1984, he got High School Scientific diploma at the Navy College of Marina Militare Italiana “Francesco Morosini” of Venice.

In 1989, he graduated in Law (Laurea in giurisprudenza) at the University of Genoa with a doctoral thesis in Fiscal and Tax law. 

He did the military service as “Security and Safety Officer” in the Italian Coast Guard. 

He did several internships at various P.& I. Clubs in London (British Marine - The Standard) and at Mcleans, P&I Corrispondent of Marseille (France).

He attended and passed the Course in Maritime Law (Advanced) and the Course of International Law at City of London Polytechnic.

He practices as Lawyer and is a member of the Bar Association of Genoa since 1994. He is duly qualified to defend clients also before the Italian Court of Cassation.

He served as “Honourary” Public Prosecutor (V.P.O.) at the Public Prosecutor Office of Genoa. 

He is often appointed as Arbitrator in domestic arbitrations.

He co-operated with Prof. Giorgio Righetti in the preparation of the Maritime Code Annotated  – Seventh edition – edited by Giuffrè Milan 2009.

He co-operated in the editing of the “Notiziario giuridico” supplement to the periodic Magazine “I numeri del Porto” of the Port Authority of La Spezia. 

He also writes for the Maritime Law Review "Il Diritto Marittimo". 

He is the legal advisor of FEDESPEDI, ANAMA, ALSEA, SPEDIPORTO and other national or local associations of freight forwarders, carriers, logistic operators, etc.

He is specialized in Maritime and Trasport law and handles on daily basis matters involving freight forwarders, MTO and logistic operators, maritime and transport insurers (H+M, cargo, carriers’ and freight forwarders’ liabilities), disputes against Custom Authorities, shipping accidents involving also yachts and pleasure crafts, litigation in civil and commercial cases.

He frequently teaches and handles professional training Courses in maritime/road/air transport law as well as in Custom law and in maritime and transport insurance matters (H+M, cargo, carriers’ and freight forwarders’ liabilities).

He is a partner of Studio Legale Righetti since 1998.
